Editors

Luke Ayers, Trinity University, Editor in Chief

Luke is a Senior at Trinity University, majoring in Economics with a minor in Latin. He is the President of Tigers for Life, the Trinity chapter of Students for Life of America, the President of the Catholic Student Group, and former President of Tigers for Liberty, now Young Conservatives of Texas at Trinity University. He is serving as Editor in Chief for The Wendt for the 2018-19 school year, and is also serving as interim website manager and interim finance manager. 

Maddie D'Iorio, Trinity University, Senior Managing Editor

Maddie is a Sophomore at Trinity University, majoring in Economics. She is the Vice President of the Young Conservatives of Texas at Trinity University, opinion writer for the school paper The Trinitonian, and a member of the Student Government Association. As a writer and editor for the Wendt, Maddie focuses on local and campus news of interest to conservatives. 

Isaiah Mitchell, Trinity University, Managing Editor

Isaiah is a Junior at Trinity University, majoring in English. He is a competitive debater, proud Assemblies of God Christian, and Chairman of the Young Conservatives of Texas at Trinity University. As a writer and editor for The Wendt, Isaiah focuses on the philosophical basis of conservatism.

Writers

Julia Westwick, Trinity University

Julia is a sophomore studying Economics. She is the Secretary of the Young Conservatives of Texas at Trinity University. As a writer for The Wendt, she focuses on reporting local politics. When she’s not reading political philosophy or listening to Ben Shapiro, she sings in Trinity’s choir and a cappella group. She is also involved in multiple campus religious organizations.

Christine Foley, Angelo State University

Christine is a sophomore at Angelo State Univeristy studying information systems and history. She leads her school's Young America's for Freedom chapter, is a member of the honors college, and employee of the history department. She is also a member of the women's rugby team and active in her church's college ministry.

Zach Neeley, Trinity University

Zach Neeley is a sophomore at Trinity University, majoring in political science. He is active with the Libertarian Party of Texas and formerly served as Deputy Chief of Staff with the Mark Tippetts Campaign for Texas Governor (2018). He also serves on two committees with the multi-partisan Foreign Policy Alliance, a new organization dedicated to advancing non-interventionist principles in U.S. foreign policy. 

Emma McMahan, Trinity University

Emma McMahan is a sophomore majoring in International Studies and plans to double minor in Chinese and Economics. Her hobbies include playing guitar and reading.

Tim Hoeksema, Trinity University

Tim is a freshman at Trinity University who plans on majoring in economics as well as business. He enjoys jazz music and watching conservative gurus such as Steven Crowder, Paul Joseph Watson, and Milo Yiannopoulos. In terms of writing, he likes investigating the reasons behind practices and stances that are normally assigned to a specific party.
